About Element Detroit Wixom
Formed in 1987, the Detroit Wixom laboratory is a leading full-service metallurgical laboratory supporting automotive, aerospace, and other industrial clients with a comprehensive range of services, including mechanical, fatigue, metallurgical and chemical testing plus engineering support in design, material selection, reverse engineering, corrosion, education, and failure analysis.
Our engaged experts serve on key technical committees and have been honored for their contributions to research and education by ASM international, the American Foundry Society (AFS), and other professional organizations.
The Detroit Wixom laboratory holds ISO 17025 accreditation for materials testing.
Midwest Testing
In July 2019, Element acquired the assets of 'Midwest Testing Laboratories'. The business has been fully integrated into Element Wixom, bringing the expertise, equipment and Å·ÃÀÊìÅ®ÂÒÂ× of Midwest Testing Laboratories Inc. to the Element Wixom site. The integration of these Å·ÃÀÊìÅ®ÂÒÂ× has further improved the range of services to include cyclic corrosion testing and environmental testing.
